Balance

This is a simple sculpture where the viewer is invited to rearrange the figures as they please. The originals were made in steel and an edition of 6 bronzes cast.

The couple in this sculpture may be moved by the viewer to alter the relationship between the two. This also alters the balance of the piece, and when manipulated by a series of viewers over time can be seen as a totally random sequence of movement. The modelling process of the original figures is rare, in that they were built in steel by arc welding.
